Concept:

I only really have one idea coming into a Conjure inspired by neurogenesis, but it is a very strong idea I can visualise incredibly well without much effort.

The initial idea bouncing around my head for this concept revolves around the concept of a collective consciousness, a physical manifestation of the UniverSim’s database.

Research:

Neurogenesis is the process by which the ’*brain creates new neurons’*, which are the cells responsible for transmitting information in the brain and the nervous system. It was once thought that neurogenesis could only occur in the brain development stages of childhood, but it has since been proven that neurogenesis can occur in adults too.
Neurogenesis has been shown to be influenced by a individuals experiences and environments massively. It is believed to play a role in ‘learning, memory, emotion, stress, depression, and response to injury’.

Translatable Qualities:

Neurogenesis is a concept that, to me, goes hand-in-hand with supportive abilities. This Conjure does not seem like the type to be offensive in any capacity, instead offering its team massive support via two abilities, rather than one ability or one attack.

Since neurogenesis directly relates to the mind, I think the abilities should draw from that:

An ability that focusses on neuroplasticity (the strengthening of neurological connections)
- Perhaps the more a single attack is used, the stronger or weaker it gets, depending on whether it aims for an enemy or ally?
- Perhaps an ability that prevents the same attack or ability being used successively?
  - Maybe it could heal an ally or damage an enemy if it is used successively?
An ability that can ‘copy’ another?
- If an enemy attacks the Conjure, it gains the ability to use that attack next turn?

Conjure Ideas:

I see this Conjure as the Conjure of the UniverSim itself, a physical manifestation of all data withheld within it, as a sort of sentient, ‘organic’, megastructure, similar visually to neurons. Every time something ‘new’ enters the UniverSim, a new neuron is formed. It would act almost as a collective consciousness that embodies everything within the UniverSim.

I see this Conjure ranging from microscopic particles, to planetary sized neurons, all coming together in a super structure looks like a nebula or other celestial structure.

Create a Conjure that draws visually from nebulae and neurons. An enormous superstructure that spans lightyears, composed of enormous individual neurons that store data. These neurons range from tiny, to planetary in size.
