v7.0
- Sleep Paralysis is now known as ‘The Mare’. Concept not fully finalised.
- Voidwalker no longer affects Spectre itself
- This is a massive nerf to Spectre, but a necessary one. In testing, Spectre has consistently proven to be the best Conjure in the game due to its mobility. It is able to consistently circumvent almost every Conjure’s kit by staying just out of range of them. This nerf should prevent Spectre from being able to evade opponents as easily, but still allow it to massively buff its teammates early game.
- Neurogenesis:
- Neuroplasticity wording altered to specify activation criteria. Now specifies that a single ally can trigger the activation for itself via the criteria on the card.
- The Hero:
- Bravery has been removed, and ‘Brave Shield’ has been added in its place.
- Ability that halves the damage of an attack directed at The Hero, can be used outside of your turn but the cost carries over. 3 usage cost.
- Bravery was somewhat useless unfortunately, and there was no easy way to rebalance it without making it too good. Instead, I opted to boost The Hero’s escape-ability.
- Imperium:
- ‘Matter Displacement’ no longer effects enemies.
- Apocalypse: Alpha:
- Injection_Bomb is no longer usable regardless of position.
- Added ‘Liberty’ (Defence).
- Liberty acts somewhat similarly to a previous iteration of Impervious, possessing a chargeable attack that forces opponents to be careful and selective about choosing their targets.
- Added ‘Dispersion’
- Passive ability that prevents enemies from dealing over 25 damage per hit to allies in a 5x5 area around Liberty.
- Added ‘Daybreak’
- 60 damage attack that begins with no area of effect. Each turn, Liberty can choose to either attack, or charge Daybreak up. For every turn spent charging, the area of effect increases by one increment. 4 usage cost whether attacking or charging.
- Changed the Conjure drafting process so that only one of each Conjure can be drawn
- This is to increase variety and to force players to have to use Conjures they may not be comfortable.
Reflection & Next Steps:
- I’ve been having a bit of difficulty with The Mare in terms of getting a good concept for it finalised, but I’m definitely getting closer.
