Conjure Brief:
- Create a Conjure based on a traditional teddy bear, adopting stereotypical elements from Roman knights. Their personality is brave, fearless, and unassuming. The Hero will stop at nothing to put an end to the enemy, and strikes fear into the hearts of foes during combat. It fights in the traditional manner of a medieval knight, using solely melee attacks and throwing itself into battle with no self-interest.
- They must wield a sword.
- They must use a shield.
- They must have a Roman style helmet, with plumage.
- They must look unassuming - no angry expression and little indication of the overwhelming power within it.

Creating The Hero
Concept art of The Hero. This would unfortunately end up being only one of two reference sheets for any Conjures, as I realised that it would simply take too much time to do reference sheets and fleshed out concept art. I’m not happy about it, but I have to speed up the process for the better of the project as a whole.
- Blocking in shapes, and beginning to experiment with where The Hero’s iconic green would go.
- Messing around with composition, to really emphasise both The Hero’s small stature, and its enormous power.
- I opted to focus on the power of The Hero’s sword, as though it is the means by which said power is channelled.
- Added some effects and sparkles to liven up the piece and add some atmosphere/depth.

Lifeline Protocol
- Blocking in the lights and darks, I made sure to use much smaller and jagged geometry to really sell that the light was coming through gaps in the leaves.
- I began to add some atmospherics through the use of light scattering in the background, making the trees blend in the further away from the camera they are.
- Added some mist and fog to give the piece a magical and enchanted feel, almost as a reference to the master sword in The Legend of Zelda, and its placement before the Great Deku Tree in a magical forest.
- To really sell the sword as the focal point, I made sure to have the lighting focus on it, with god rays shining down on it.
- I added a suggestion of magical particles and fireflies, to help the piece come alive just that bit more. I also added some grassy details to the rest of the piece.
